Soaring with the butterflies | Stanley Kowalski | TEDxSpringfield

This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Finding the courage to pursue your passion does not necessarily mean eliminating your fears. Instead, my life experiences have enabled me to harness fear to propel me. Taking the leap into entrepreneurship requires you to 'Soar With the Butterflies'.

Chairman at FloDesign, Stanley was the Founding CEO of FloDesign Wind Turbine, FloDesign Water Turbine and is now Founding CEO of their latest spin out, FloDesign Sonics. These ventures total over 200 employees and have raised over $200M in Venture Capital. He has attracted top tier Investors and Board members from Silicon Valley and around the world to Western Massachusetts.

Stanley is a graduate of Western New England University with a BS in Mechanical Engineering and serves on their Board of Trustees. He is also on the local Boards of Western Mass Development Corp and the Springfield Public Forum.

Stanley possesses an insatiable entrepreneurial drive and is most proud of the teams he’s assembled, consisting of the world’s finest scientists and business leaders.
