Honestly this scene fucking hurt to watch. Sanji is already at his breaking point for having to abandon his friends. He intensely hates the situation he is in and desperately wants to go back to his crew. But, even on the brink of despair, he fully believed that there was a glimmering light in the darkness, that light being Pudding. Ever the ladies man, he thought that despite all that was happening, he had found a woman who genuinely liked him. He hung on to that because it was all there was to hold on to. And then to find out that she was faking everything and to see her mock him the way she did. It drove him into despair. Sad as it was to watch, it just goes to show that Oda has a truly masterful understanding of the human condition.
