This would be so much easier to watch if you used names for each VPN instead of icons. What a headache.

I really like proton vpn, but that’s because I use all their other products. Their mail and cloud drive are great, as is their new password manager. Bundling all these services makes it pretty affordable.

I've had Express VPN for a couple of years now and it just keeps getting slower and slower. I've even tried uninstalling and reinstalling it several times. My unrestricted internet speed is over 600mbps, but with Express VPN connected it drops to 180-320mbps. So I am losing anywhere from 50% to 75% of my bandwidth. I've tried everything I can to get more speed but nothing works. Getting pretty tired of that.

I have Malwarebytes for malware security. Do I need to use their VPN to be more secure?

Hi Christian. I loved your vpn explanation! I'm a professional gambler, and need a vpn to wager on European sites. Unfortunately, legal sites like Fanduel, don't like me using a vpn, because even though i'm in a legal state, they can't verify it. But you mentioned Private Internet Access offering split tunneling, you mentioned Nord having Meshnet...Help an old guy out lol, what would you do? Thanks for your time.

I am an American. I was using Private Internet Express and had my VPN connected to Washington DC. I am in South America. But many websites mostly American that I went to had the currency in Japanese Yen and one in Nigeria. Also even with my VPN on they were able to detect my country location it seemed. Also when I had Amazon Prime they were able to tell I was not in the US and blocked most movies. I am using the apartment internet on my computer and Android. So what's the point. It seemed that the only thing helpful was being able to get into my bank account. So which VPN do your suggest?

With proton, the laws are different regarding email vs the vpn service.

Has anyone else had issues with NordVPN? It was straightforward to install, but I've had it for only 3 weeks, and it has decided not to work on 4 different occasions already. I always use it from the same place too, a particular Starbucks. They have good WiFi, but it's public so I'm obviously susceptible to would-be bad actors. I probably don't need the VPN there, but it's peace of mind. I used to have Surfshark, which was very good, but flaked out on me about once per month. Now I realize that once per month beats four times in three weeks. But am I the only one who has had inconsistent results with NordVPN? From what I've read in different places online, you'd think it was the VPN to end all VPNs

My preference is Privado . I have a 1200 mbs connection and when connected I get 1350+mbs in 40% of their offered world wide connection locations. Its swiss based and "claims": no logs stored since they use ram not servers or virtual servers for their networking so every time you sign out your logs stored in ram goes away .
60 bucks a year is what I pay and It may be false hope but I'm gonna stick with them for a while.

If one didn't trust anyone in the tech space (not me, of course), couldn't Mullvad also track and log your IP address despite claims to the contrary?

What's with ovpn also from Sweden? Pretty similar to mullvad and faster with court documents prove that they don't log

Pricing is virually the same across the board, it also looks like they all have the same web designer and sometimes I think they are all the same company.

So, once you pay with a credit card, there's a log of who it is. If you use crypto to pay, there's a way to figure out who it was. YouTube it!

Nordvpn is based out of Panama. It’s not a member of the 14 eyes.
