SCP-303 - The Doorman (SCP Animation)

SCP 303 is a Euclid Class anomaly also known as The Doorman.

Witnesses describe SCP-303 as a nude, sexless, emaciated humanoid figure with reddish-brown skin. Instead of normal facial features, its head is dominated by an extremely large mouth, which bears a set of oversized human teeth.
SCP303 will periodically materialize behind any closed door, hatch, or other entryway barrier opposite a sentient observer, chosen by unknown means. SCP-303 will then remain behind the door for an indeterminate amount of time. Any individual attempting to open the door or barrier experiences intense, paralyzing fear that lasts until SCP-303 dematerializes (either on its own or to avoid being directly seen by another observer). The source of this fear is not clear, but appears to be similar in nature to arachnophobia and ophidiophobia, originating on a pre-conscious, genetic level.

Even though Mendoza fell prey to 303's effects like everyone else, she at least deserves props for still having enough courage to strike at it, given that everyone else froze up entirely.

You neglected to mention how Site 41 has minimized the impact of 303 manifestations by altering its internal architecture so that each room has at least two doors located on opposite sides of the room. That way it can't trap someone until they die like it did with that one guy. Doors are also staggered so that it can't block more than one room's entrance at a time.

First heard of this one and the shy guy from a single video - an SCP homage from an excellent horror animation YouTuber. In that short story, it was actually terrifying enough to stop a rampaging shy guy in its tracks. Awesome stuff.

I think the doorman needs those chemical mixtures to produce the sound it makes which "can" release a pheromone and acoustic that induces the fear response.

I heard that he kidnapped SCP-573 and SCP-899 too. And he made hisself a home in a storage room of the foundation. Once the foundation sent a researcher called Dr. Hessen with SCP-729-J in her hand to a door which was blocked by SCP-303. As Hessen approached the door, the Doorman opened the door and let her pass before running away. Later he was found in the supply closet. Also he's capable to make himself almost invisible. But you still can describe in which pose he was.

By the way. Whenever a story starts out describing an ultimate bad-ass that is you go-to guy/gal for any dire situation, you know that character is destined to fall prey to whatever focus of that particular story is.

It feels weird for it to be Euclid considering they have no idea how to contain it. It just happened to decide to stay on site. Expected it to be Keter.
Edit: Apparently they added a second door to each room. Makes sense now. No one is actually ever trapped anymore. It still feels weird because that doesn't "contain" it either. Still deciding to stick around of its own volition.
