Local 4's Karen Drew sat down with retired Detroit police Chief Ike McKinnon after two mass shootings in the city.

He hit the nail on the head I have talked with a lot of teens and he is right they just don't care about the next day in there minds they have no future. And this is why this keeps happening. They look at the stars and social media and they see the lifestyles of these people and they decide if I cannot have money like them now living longer makes no sense. I think the stars themselves need to make programs and ads that teach them the real way they became rich and the struggle it takes to maintain the lifestyle this is the only way. To these kids the internet is the parent and the teacher.
