Introduction
Looking for a coolant to go with the fiery spicy biryani? Well, nothing can beat the heat from a burning mouth, like the raita. Raita is a condiment dip or sauce that is served as a side with various meals in Indian cuisine. A raita recipe has curd (yogurt) as the main ingredient to which vegetables, fruits, herbs, and spices are added. There are many ways it is made and they all taste different with the kind of veggies or fruits you add to the yogurt. This yummy sider adds essence to your biryanis, pilafs, parathas, kebabs, etc. It makes for a good dipping and serving sauce even for fried snacks! It also gives you probiotic health benefits due to the presence of gut-friendly bacteria in curd (yogurt). The spices and herbs added to it help in digestion. In today's recipe, we will learn how to make five types of raitas to go with your biryani. Try out these yummy raita recipes and let us know how you like them.
