How To Rebuild a ATV Differential Part 1

this is the breakdown of the Front Differential in the Arctic Cat 650H1. As you can tell in the video the front differential is full of mud and that has become a big deal considering the axle seals are also shot. Everything so far in tearing down the differential is pretty easy except of course getting the locking ring out for the pinion shaft. I had thought at first it was for preload but that isn't the case.

I rebuilt the front diff in my 2000 Arctic Crap 500 couple years ago. Little bit different innards compared to yours, as mine is a hand operated rod actuated 2/4/4 diff lock, not electronic. I tossed away those stupid torx headed case bolts and replaced with normal bolts. If you ever make it back to northern BC bring the quad with and we`ll go hit some trails at the Tabor Mountain multi use trails.

I would of seen that nut and said fuck this shit, dropped the differential in the garbage sold my house and moved somewhere tropical.
