HuPC Episode 4 Review

Early review this week partially because I have family matters to attend to, but mostly because it's an amazing episode that I will really wanna talk about. This is the sort of quality this franchise has been severely lacking for a while.

Your reviews are always so good. You strike a good balance of humor and facts, and you have really strong references from other animes and the production / staff. Wish that more people did this and not just saying basic and subjective impressions

God, this was such a great episode. The fight scenes were amazing, Hana's faces were amazing, and this character development is just plain beautiful. Homare's past and trauma resonates so strongly in these scenes, and I hope for the same kind of development with Hana a la GoPri style (something like where she realizes that her dream to be an adult-like figure won't be possible, or that people tell her that her dream is unrealistic and she needs to focus on an actual career? Idk, there could be different paths to take with her character). We also know that Saaya is a former child actress, so I wonder how that will be handled, hopefully with the same amount of quality we've had for Homare.

They really nailed it with this episode. Didn't take Homare's trauma lightly and let it have some weight. She's struggling to pick herself back up. And that's totally believable. That trauma and fear is with her every time she's tempted to jump using that leg. She's going to push past it, but I like that they didn't rush it.

Wow we are just in episode 4 and Hugotto proves exactly why precure is such unique show and different from other magical girls anime. The build up and the introduction of the three characters is very interesting. The storytelling is very well done. The animation is fantastic and the fight was epic. I hope it will not ended up like MTP and KiraKira. Homare is easily my second favorite yellow cure alongside Kirara. Her story was unexpected especially from yellow cure. So exited for her transformation next week.

I'm no doctor, but I think Homari has something like PTSD or trauma. Well maybe.

This episode definitely hit home for me. I suffered from trauma from cheerleading because of the injury I sustained a while back and it was hard for me to get back into it because of that fear. I can definitely relate to Homare and her fears of jumping and trying again. Having that fear and holding yourself back from what you love is such a struggle and I can relate but there is always a good ending to this if you just believe and not give up.

This is my favorite episode of this season so far. Homare is going to be a great precure but her fear is real. And the Sakuga in this episode is off the charts of AWESOME!!

Imagine if My Hero Academia's You Say Run was playing in the background during that fight....

That would be cool

Anime seriously needs to get their characters to reflect their actual age. Those grade school kids on the court look like ACTUAL 13-14 year olds. Those middle schoolers on the court look 18...Hana looks like she could be 15...

Anyways, this episode was so unexpected. I had almost forgotten what a Precure episode that seriously drew me in looked like.

After watching your review, I be sure to remember the name Watanabe as he is one of the main contributors that made Precure awesome. Hugtto is just keep getting better, looking forward to what will happen next, also I having a feeling that Chararite here won't be working much longer, so maybe Lulu is going to get promoted soon?

Wow...

4 episodes in and s**t went down really fast...and i like it. Awwww...there there Homare. U can rise up again <:3 *pat her head* im sure you can able to face your fears and accept your contract. I know it hurts but take it one step at a time...ok? ^^

Now...my issues...actually its rather small, considering this episode is so good. I only have gripes on 2 moments:

-those 2 brunettes from the start who just judged Homare and told Hana and Saya to stay away from her just because "shes a deliquent". Well excuuuuse me. I dont see them complaining about hanging out with a bad boy =3=

And lastly
-Saya/Cure Ange herself...is it me or i feel slowly shes been sidelined? Dont get me wrong, i love the impact from Yell but...at least give her a chance to shine too...not just being a "Defensive Cure"

This episode was amazing! The animation and storytelling were above and beyond what I was expecting.

So this is the Yuri on ice arc because Hana is the gayest Precure since Mana. The difference is that Hana is actually gay while Mana can somehow make every woman in a ten mile radius drop her panties on command.

We also have to compliment on the storyboard and episode director because it is no other than Yuta Tanaka aka the series director of Go Princess Precure

This episode was the most heaviest the franchise has ever done.

You could compare it to Karen's moment but this was way more heavy than Karen's moment.
