rmz250muhctek You probably don't need to know this anymore but just to put it out there for others, we need to chose vectors in the basis of the domain. In this case, the domain of our linear transformation is R2, and so the simplest choice for the basis vectors would be the vectors of the standard basis of R2   i.e ([1, 0], [0, 1]).
