Oscar winner Sissy getting some attention...I like it. My database has 28 Spacek movies already researched...just never did a page on her. Let's see how many Sissy movies have I seen? First match #26 Deadfall...but do not remember her role. #24 Blast From The Past is pretty funny movie. #23 The River...not bad. #21 North Country...like Deadfall seen it...but do not remember her role #20 Raggedy Man....Danny Peary's Alternate Oscar thought her performance in this one should have won the Oscar. #18 At Home At The End of the World...depressing movie. #17 Affliction...another downer of a movie. #16 The Glass Harp...fun cast to watch #13 Get Low....good unknown movie. #12 Long Walk Home....good drama. #10 Man With Two Brains....sometimes funny...sometimes dumb #8 The Help...our UMR movie of the year for 2011 #6 Badlands...surprised it is not in Top 5. #5 Coal Miner's Daughter...one of the highest rated movies at UMR #3 Carrie...the movie that made her a star. #2 Missing..good performances...but a downer of a movie #1 JFK...what a cast. Sad that my favorite Sissy Spacek movie did not get mentioned....Hard Promises is an excellent UMR we have it at 61% which would have been 25th on your list. Still...seen 17 of the 30. Voted up and shared at UMR.

I have seen 4 Sissy Spacek movies. That is a low number. However, she stars in one of my favourite films of all time: Badlands. It is my favourite Martin Sheen movie and I am a fan of his.

Besides Badlands, Coal Miner's Daughter and Affliction are favorites. I have also seen JFK.

Favourite posters and stills are for Badlands (great to see an artist's rendering of the stars when most of the posters are now photographs), Coal Miner's Daughter, JFK, Missing, 3 Women, Crimes of the Heart, The Grass Harp, Affliction, Violets Are Blue, and the final portrait.

Your guess was right. I do not think I will have any high totals now that you have turned to more modern stars.

I am surprised that 'Trading Mom' didn't make the list. One of my other favs that did not make the list was 'Verna Vane, USO Girl'. Neither can her exemplary performance in 'Night, Mother" go without honorable mention. Wow, someone should do a tabulation on Amy Madigan. THAT would be interesting.
