He later started his coaching career, working with young gymnasts at a club in Nagoya. His coaching journey led him to work in several countries, including Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, where his skills were in high demand.

He is the coach behind Carlos Yulo's success as an elite gymnast. He trained him in Japan and got the gold medal in 2019 in World Championship and eventually won 2 gold medals in Paris 2028 Olympics. He is no longer his coach but Yulo's parents are grateful to coach Mune.
