It's interesting that everyone seems to be comparing the Jets and Giants seasons. It's funny because the Giants have been in every game they've played except against SF. And the Jets have been blown out every game and Darnold's in his 3rd season. I'm not saying that's because of Daniel Jones alone... the defense has made some strong plays even though they fell apart against Dallas. But they're one or two plays away from winning those games. I think it's important to remember that and also to remember that we didn't expect the Giants to be a playoff team. Now... ironically, the NFC East is pretty bad and theres an outside chance they could make the playoffs (lol). But all of those factors you mentioned at the end about the shortened off season, new coach, injuries, bad o-line are also responsible for his struggles. And his 3rd year (assuming they actually give him a line) will be the defining season for Jones as a viable starting QB. I hope he proves himself and the Giants help him out. Holding the ball too long + a trash OL is a recipe for disaster. No wonder he commits a turnover or two, every game.

I do believe this line is playing worse than last season. They've got that kid so screwed up right now. He would stand in that pocket take the hit and make the throw last season. This year its like he knows he's going hammered every drop back and he does seem shook.
