First half of the Eternal Conflict is beyond epic. I feel like i'm ascending from heavens to cast out the darkness from this world in a final battle. It brings heavenly tears to my eyes, fill me with intense belonging to something..Something that will triumph in the end.

I didn`t grew up with Diablo 2 and started playing this game like 2 months ago, and I love it!. It replaced my 1.5yr League of Legends addiction :D.

It's strong the influence Matt Uelmen (Diablo 2 OST composer) have in the "03 - New Tristram".
The music makes the place familiar.

I played and beat this game with my dad when it came out (he has always been a huge fan of diablo since before I was born) I'm almost 22 now and we still play this, and now D4 as well! This game will always be a love letter to my I'll always reminisce the hours spent just hanging with my dad and being great pals!😭❤️ beautiful soundtrack that could easily put me to sleep🥰

I don't think the soundtrack is the problem, but the game itself. Soundtrack is really well done, but that doesn't mean people who call it "not dark enough" are entirely wrong. Yes, for a game like Diablo it should be WAY darker, heavier, sometimes even horror-like. But Diablo 3 itself is not a dark game. Composers did a good job at writing music for this game - Diablo 3 is different from it's predecessors, it's not as dark, it looks and feels different. And so does the soundtrack.
So, does the music fit Diablo 3? Yes, definitely.
But does Diablo 3 (and it's music) fit with previous games in the series? No.
Yet people seem to have a hard time understanding that their job was to score the game. Not the series.

I loved how they used the acoustic guitar for the New tristram theme it just brought the soul of D2 back in my mind atleast :)

We can all agree that most of this soundtrack just plain doesn't hold a candle to D1 and D2, but it's also worth remembering that the turn from that suffocating, industrial horror feel didn't start when D3 was released. It was actually Matt Uelmen himself who went this route when composing the Lord of Destruction music. It's even MORE jarring playing through a game of D2 after the utter brilliance of the first game and the first 4 acts of D2 to get to Act V and suddenly instead of claustrophobic, the music is just grand and epic. And granted, you were taking part in an all out war in the Barbarian mountain kingdoms, but still. 

I still think there are moments to be salvaged from this, mainly New Tristram, Caldeum, and Evil Reawakened. Actually, most of my problem is with Act III, and again, we are talking about a large scale military conflict for the most part that is taking place in that Act.

All these people complaining but I absolutely love the music for Diablo 3! I enjoy listening to epic orchestral music when it's epic demons getting killed by my hand. Let it be known ive played D2 for many many years and I think both D2 soundtrack and D3 soundtrack sound equally amazing

I have the Collectors edition sitting in a locked closet safe from curious kids hands and i have never even opened any of the specials except the skull and USB-stone. Everything wrapped in plastic is still untouched.

So this is the first time i've Heard this after all this time :P

I havent played D3 yet but.. when I enjoyed D1 and D2 OST I ACTUALLY KNEW I was playing a dark/satanic fantasy hack & slash RPG containing battles between angels demons and men. This one makes me think I'm seeing a film instead. Still not that bad but.... I miss Matt Uelmen's work here.
