We kept chickens for eggs. They got the best of everything and they'd run up to us every feeding time - not just to dive into the food but to say "great to see you mam and dad". They were more like our kids than anything else. They loved to be hugged and cuddled. Now we're too old and ill to keep chickens, but we gave them all a good life in safe, well housed conditions and they roamed free all their lives. ALL ANIMALS JUST NEED LOVE.

Made me remember all my pet chickens that were all gone now. But I know they have no pain and suffering now, no sickness and agonizing. I still feel sad sometimes when I remember the day, they passed away.
