I like that expression about the flower not having to be so exact that it's mother would recognize it in a supermarket! LOL

I purchased a glass dip pen a few months ago...I REALLY enjoy using it with my inktense blocks. I make an ink mix with water and brush it onto my pen nib..works GREAT! ALSO...I found that when the pen started to feel out of ink I could twist the pen in my hand and more ink would flow before reloading. Using my inktense set, I have hundreds of colors at my disposal.

Came here due to curiosity about glass dip pens and was pleasantly surprised by the multitude of unexpected art tips. Thanks!

Just lovely. I received a glass pen with several inks as a gift and this has given me a good idea on how to get started.

Pen and ink was one of my first lessons in art and drawing! Had forgotten how fun and rewarding. Instead of disposable markers, this is a beautiful option.

Another great video Michele! Glad you & pen made it through the whole video! That little pen rest is quite precious too. I enjoy using my glass dip pen but I find it that ink dries a but quicker (but perhaps the warm dry weather here in Northern California has something to do with it). Also I clean all my new nibs with white toothpaste and an old toothbrush to remove the residual oil manufactures coat them with to prevent corrosion in shipping, etc. That’s a big reason why new nibs don’t well initially. I also store my nibs with those little desiccant packs that comes in vitamins, etc. to help prevent rusting too.

Thank you for another lovely video. Speedball ink cleaner for dip pens is amazing and has the dried ink off in a split second. Not expensive either. Haven't got a glass pen yet, had been wanting one for ages because they're so pretty but wasn't sure they would work. Will definitely order one now but so many beautiful ones, I think it will become an addiction.

I just got two in the mail yesterday and haven't tried them out yet. One came with a dozen bottles of glitter like ink. Wasn't expecting the glitter so will be interesting to see what they look like. I like to write with a fountain pen and have a small collection of pens. I'm a wood turner and have made hundreds of ink pens. They provide enjoyment and have paid for all the "tools" that were "necessary" to keep making new items. Thanks for sharing your video. Well done.

I am a huge fan of the glass pen now. It just glides over the paper (no scraping like with the dip pen). Also the ink lasts much longer before you have to re-dip. Thank you Michele!

Oh my! Your confession of absentminded moments and tendencies to break things is so familiar to me! I moved out of my home with pull chain light switchs and years later, in a different house, I caught myself walking through the dark and swishing my hand through the air, looking for the pull chain! I love also, how you you stressed that this ink is not something you correct but how you just proceed. It's kind of like things in life. Some you can fix, some you gotta just move on.
I have loved your videos and learned so much! I share them with my art bunch and it is a pleasure to challenge ourselves to utilize your instruction.
Thank you for your videos! It's a pleasure to learn from you. Best of everything!

Thanks Michele. I can't get my dip pen and nibs to work. They don't release the ink unless I press down hard and then I've damaged the paper. Maybe a glass pen would suit me better at this point. I really like the tool you have for masking fluid. Thank you so much.💜👍

I love how you explain in depth - Dont go too dark with the paint or it will not have that translucent glow. Lovely end result.
Did buy a glass pen a few yrs back but recieved it with maybe a slightly chipped tip ..i think. Not smooth at all. Didnt use it much.
Inspired with this video and will purchase a new one.
