Poor Christine was used and abused and completely out of her depth. The scandal ruined her life. Whereas Mandy Rice-Davies was much more confident and tough and turned the whole episode to her advantage and went on to have a successful and happy life.

She was lovely in Gypsy. But with 60's hair, make up and clothes, she's an absolute Goddess. I love her voice as Christine too. A great show with top lines, like "We're Up To Our Eyes In Homosexuals And Spies" & "F*ck A F*cking Duck" lol. Sophie's a brilliant actress and gorgeous. While I absolutely love James Norton, I do have to question why they would choose to cast him as Stephen Ward, who goes from ages 48-50 in the span of this series. He didn’t introduce Keeler and Profumo until 61, at which point he was 48. And by the time the trial ended Ward was 50.

Like I said, I love Norton. But why cast him to play a 50 year old?

I actually felt sorry for the lot, well, not so for Profumo and Keeler. But my heart actually broke for Stephen Ward. I don't think he ever meant to harm or hurt anyone, anything but.

I only tuned in halfway as not a story which interested me but I read an article about the tragic “fit up” of Stephen Ward so tuned in and James Norton just stole every scene he was in which made ep 6 a bit of an anti-climax and good to see Ben Miles from Coupling again.
