Welcome to Craxoid. I made a video testing OTA Updater on custom ROMs to check if it works or not. I tried updating my custom ROM with OTA Updater in lots of ways, like encrypting and decrypting my phone, but it wasn't working. So, I decided to test it out some more and see if I could get it to work. In the end, I am shocked by the results that I get. And, I want to share all my findings and experience in this video. been flashing custom roms for years and honestly i have never tried to update any rom via updater, , i if i want to update a rom, i always dirty flash via custom recovery, as long as the rom supports dirty flashing....

for project elixir I think OTA update didn't work properly.. you have to dirty flash with stwrp

on the aosp recovery it is supported. i tried ota update on lineageos with its lineage recovery even in encryption it is updated in single attempt without loosing any kinda data.
