why? its merely just downsizing because lack of need of all the space. Idk why people are shocked or confused.

5 older buildings riverfront, versus 1 brand new building further inland. My guess is strictly due to cost/maintenance.

( My belief ) They’ve been looking for a way out LONG BEFORE the pandemic … As far back as when that last large renovation THAT WAS CANCELLED … some years ago… that was the beginning of the end … They started moving branches of that building to different states and other areas outside that building to the suburbs … had they used ALL the resources available to them they could have kept that office full . Dan Gilbert HAS been GOOD rejuvenating and MUCH THANKS I just WISH we had OTHER power brokers here to that have the same commitment to the city excluding the llitch people😒THE FORD FAMILY has been GOOD for Detroit a some NEW ENTRANTS would be a welcome .
