Thank you for this video, a lot of education, training and awareness sessions are needed for Audiologist and local AVM doctors on the need to make early referral for children diagnosed with ANSD from birth. The parents are new to deafness and are not aware of these NICE guidelines. The 12-18 months age are critical periods for babies developing speech and language, if there are no speech discrimination by this 18 months age they should have urgent referral to cochlear implant centre. I am very angry and disappointed my son was delayed and referred very late at age of 3 years old with no speech and language, he is now implanted at age of 3 and responding to sound, but very concerned on the outcome and prognosis down the line given late age. I do hope ANSD babies are better managed in this country.
