I've yet to do any APRS or even DSTAR on my new TH-D75 but I sure am impressed with it so far!! I think it was well worth the price.

The TH-D75 (and 74) is simply the best HT for APRS activities.

With the TH-D75's wide reception range on the broadcast and ham bands, support for AM, Sidebands, FM, and digital (D-STAR), and of course the 220 MHz band, one will be hard-pressed to find a more complete HT "universal radio" for emergency preparation.

Forgot to mention the built-in TNC and Bluetooth support.

Hey, I was curious as if we know the weather station, can we direct message a specific beacon to get that one stations weather report?

I think I am a bit confused about ARPS. I will receive updates from random people? What ie the point of that? Seriously.

And if I put APRS into auto versus manual the world will know where I am? What is the point of that?! Seriously!
