Small world ride was my favorite back in the early 90s when my kids were young.
You could actually get out of the heat and relax for 10 minutes

Small World is actually pretty nice because of one thing.
THE RIDE IS AIR CONDITIONED! IT CAN FEEL SO NICE WHEN IT IS 100F+ OUTSIDE!
SAME WITH THE TIKI ROOM! AND THE TIKI ROOM HAS AMAZING ICE CREAM OUTSIDE OF IT!!

I am amongst that lucky crowd of children lots of parents went to in the early 70s - the opening of DisneyWorld in Florida.

EVERYTHING was amazing!

Returned as a mid-20s kid-at-heart in 1988. Was “almost completely disappointed” in the It’s a Small World ride… until I put my sunglasses back on. It added just enough additional darkness that the black light effects could “pop” to an adults eyes.

Had a great time.

LSD might have helped, too, of course.

It's a *small* *World* used to be a real kaleidoscope acid trip and the animations would sing in different languages from around the world.. but one day someone complained how "their" language was not a part of the ride and demanded that their language be included. And Disney said "no" and instead literally white washed the entire ride {painted everything white} and removed all the foreign languages making all the animatronics sing only in *English* ... so yes, Jim is now correct in his assessment of this ride.

It's a Small World is the refuge of all parents with young kids, along with Carousel of Progress and Hall of Presidents. My now- adult children can still sing "It's a great big beautiful tomorrow" on cue.
