An Interstellar Cloud Hit Earth!

Researchers have published new research in Nature Astronomy, that uses data from the European Space Agency’s Gaia satellite to track the movement of the solar system as it moved through the galaxy over the last 2 to 3 million years, and it looks probably that the sun’s heliosphere came into direct contact with a dense cloud of interstellar gas called the Local Lynx of Cold Cloud.
