House of Commons leader Penny Mordaunt is still in the contest and racing to secure 100 MP backers by the deadline.

I hope Nigeria’s ethnically & religiously oriented politicians will learn some lessons from UK’s decision to appoint Mr. Rishi Sunak- the offspring of Indian immigrants as the new Prime Minister. While the world is searching for the best to lead, Nigeria is still tied to the old and destructive archaic primordial sentiments to choose the next President. The earlier we learnt that religion and ethnicity does not choose the best the better for the Nation in the next dispensation.
