The New York Yankees took a commanding 2-0 lead on the Minnesota Twins in the ALDS. Masahiro Tanaka was masterful, becoming only the 2nd pitcher in MLB history to give up 2 or fewer runs in his 1st 6 postseason starts (after Sandy Koufax). The offense exploded in the 3rd inning for 7 runs, including a grand slam from Didi Gregroius that had Yankee Stadium shaking.
