Bamse, Little Hop and Shellman must save Grandma from the evil Reynard Fox. Reynard and the thieves have kidnapped Grandma to prevent her from making thunder honey for Bamse – that’s the honey that makes him the strongest bear in the world. Together they set out on a dangerous journey through the Goblin Forest to the City of Thieves.

Bamse and the City of Thieves – an adventure film about friendship and how easy it is for someone to become mean when they’ve been left out. It is based on Rune Andréasson’s much loved Swedish comic series, Bamse – the strongest bear in the world. Rune Andréasson created Bamse in the 1960s. Since the series began Bamse comics have been read by children and adults all over Scandinavia, generation after generation, and today it is still one of the most widely read publications in its genre.
