Canadian here. The USMCA deal with Canada and the U.S. is 99% tariff Free. The U.S. wanted to keep a tariff on Canadian lumber to protect the U.S. forestry industry and Canada wanted to protect its dairy farmers by implementing a tariff. After a huge quota never reached by U.S. dairy farmers. To this day, they've been tariffed on dairy and send in to Canada at a 3 to 1 rate.
