That’s amazing. The detail of the movement and its effect on the landscape is fascinating to see.

from 1790 when Vancouver measured the glacier in glacier bay Alaska to the 1870 's when John muir went there, the glacier retreated more than 5 miles and shrank by half, when atmospheric co2 was well below 300 ppm . the 1950's to the 1970's were second only to the little ice age for the coldest temperatures in the last 10, 000 years . 1980 was peak arctic glaciation .

The pulse is reminiscent of plants sped up while growing have that same pulse. I know that they are two very different time scales but there is only one Earth. Everything on Earth moves to the same music. Noting on Malaspina and its alluvial nature of spreading ice is interesting to me. It’s shaping the land as well.

Many of these glaciers were created during the little ice age. We are just going back to what it was in the mwp.

Do pulsing glaziers match up to ENSO phases or solar cycles?

The encroachment of ice from global cooling is alarming.

Good thing we’re still receiving from the last ice age that was only 10, 000 years ago we do not want to go into the next Ice Age

People when Ice melts in a cup of water: it must be getting warmer.

People when Ice melts on a large scale: well there’s a lot of things we need to consider.

SO, ... is there any doubt that Glaciers are being reduced at an Alarming rate?

Very boring and not really visible, because the views are not well combined.

I should visit a glacier before they're all melted.
