Performed and arranged by ABRSM examiner Gary Ryan, this piece is from the ABRSM Guitar syllabus from 2019 and features in the Guitar Exam Pieces book at Grade 4.

Bedřich Smetana’s Má vlast (My Fatherland) is a cycle of six symphonic poems for orchestra devoted to different aspects of the landscape, history and legends of the composer’s native Bohemia. The second and most popular of the six, composed in 1874, traces the course of the country’s principal river, the Vltava.

Fantastic. Learning this myself. Also amazed at the quality of the recording. Looks like one mic used about 10 feet away.

I would give my left arm to play like this.... oh wait!
In fairness I am learning guitar myself. No where near this of course but if I can get even this good I will be pleased. Enjoying the journey though

Lovely. Is there a link to the sheet music for this arrangement?

You’d get a Distinction from me- but I wouldn’t guarantee that from an ABRSM examiner.
