Had the same problem on a HP Latex 310 where black would drop out mid print, new print heads where installed 3 weeks prior to issue. So I followed this video and worked like a charm. My conclusion is that it was a contact issue and that the printer will disable the corresponding print head as well if it detects a problem with one print head on the same color channel. Works great now fingers crossed. If you have a channel out I would try this tip before you blame the rip software or start replacing parts at random like I did.

Good video and good advice although I’d recommend deionized water over distilled.

Ink "retracted" from the printing side of the print head (essentially air was on a printing element). Happened to me (also black ink), fixed it with the good shake and lint-free cloth. It probably has something with Pressure, Volume, Amount, and Temperature of ink.

I am currently trying to resolve this exact issue but with the 2 cyans on the Black & Cyan print

Exact same issue on a 365 and this solution worked great. Error code was 98:03. I didn't realize it had been four weeks since I had used the printer, and both black printheads had dried and clogged.

While watching that, I started blotting my CK print head and I have no idea what crossed my mind but I just gave it a quick shake. Noticed only Cyan bled through and I wiped it down. Saw 'some' black bleeding through as I was cleaning up my mess so we'll see if I screwed this up entirely.

Okay. Yeah, that worked!

Good day. I'm having a problem with my 115 printer. Do you know how to manually set the temperature for curing. My prints are not drying and the heat is too high. I tried the adjustments while putting however it does not cool fast enough before buckling. The rip shows a setting but it is grayed out and I can't adjust.

the L260 is stuck on initializing? Turns on, goes through HP loading screen, then gets stuck on initializing with the hourglass spinning.

We have trouble with expired printheads and inks. I guess we don't have a high enough volume in a medical setting. We do about 1200 posters a year. The Y/M is giving us issues and I removed them to do a cleaning. Now it won't test or recognize either of them.

I have an issue where greys are printing pinkish. Sounds like a very common problem from what I have been reading on a number of forums yet there seems to be little practical information regarding possible causes and solutions. Replaced all inks, performed cleanings, colour calibrations, nozzle checks, print head alignments, etc., and still greys come out pink. A solution to that would be helpful to many.

Why not just do a normal test print? On our L260, it prints each head, and it is quite easy to tell if it's the Y or K in head 3 or 4, of the C or LC in heads 1 or 2, or M or LM in heads 5 or 6.
