GSCE Forumla 3 @ Cascavel - DIY Motion Simulator and Accuforce

I'm back, I have been busy upgrading my rig. This is the first video with my new DIY 2 DOF Motion Simulator and Accuforce Direct Drive wheel.

Some of you might have wondered why I haven't been posting any videos for a while, that is because I have been building my very own DIY 2 DOF motion simulator.

After I finished building my motion simulator I was lucky enough to beta test the new SimXperience Accuforce Direct drive wheel.

Both additions have greatly increased the immersion, and with my GS-4 adding to the motion as well it is pretty overwhelming to drive now. I still need to hook up my Sim Vibe transducers and powder coat the motion simulator but it is up and running well.

I need to sort out a new camera angle. I can't do the POV anymore because I move around too much with the motion simulator. Any ideas for camera angle would be appreciated.

My Racing rig consists of

GT Omega Evo race cockpit
SimXperience GS-4 motion seat.
SimXperience Accuforce Direct Drive wheel
DIY 2 DOF Motion Simulator
DSD Wilwood Professional Grade Sim Racing Pedals
DSD CSW dual button boxes
DSD hydraulic handbrake
DSD Short Shift Pro-Comp Sequential Shifter
Fanatec clubsport shifter SQ
DYI digital handbrake
1 x Buttkicker Advance, 5 x Buttkicker Mini LFE SE and 2 x Aura AST-2B-4 Pro Tactile Transducer with Simvibe
3 x Kool Sound LX-2450 2 x 450 Watt RMS Amplifiers
Buttkicker BKA300-4 1 x 300 Watt RMS Amplifier
Logitech 5.1 Z906 speakers
TrackIR Pro 5
Siminstruments Dash
Symprojects Pro-gauge and Rev Burner running 8 Autogauge gauges
2 x Symprojects SimScreens mounted in a custom SimRacingHardware stand

My PC Specs are

Intel i7 3770k 3.5GHz
32GB RAM
Nvidia Geforce GTX 980
3x Asus 27" monitors running in surround and 1x HP 24" screen for telemetry data
512GB SSD + 2x 1TB RAID 1 HDD

safety first, never mount your shoulder straps to the floor. In a crash they pull you down not holding you back. Will break your back in a heartbeat. lol This rig looks so complex do the wrecks actually hurt lol. Damn what drive that must be with this set up. Amazing!!

Hi, did you had to drill holes into the gt omega stand to be able to mount the accuforce on it? Because I will buy the accuforce and I'm looking for a good rig to mount it to. Thought the gt omega wasn't pre drilled?

Excellent video, I'm looking forward to learning from you. Just a note, was it not possible to include the peddles as part of the seat's pan?

Beautiful demonstration Avenga, even I am very tempted to build me a 2 dof like yours, my only question (as well as on my ability to make it happen) is the actual engine reactivity to stress. with these how are you finding? are quite reactive?

Excelent rig. I only think that the steering wheel and monitors are too low.

Hello Avenga76,
Are you able to suggest a good external Amplifier Brand that supports 7.1 surround sound that I can hook up to my computer for Gaming and can purchase in NZ...needs RCA type female plugs on the back panel for Front R/L, Center/Subwoofer, Rear Surround, Side Surround...thanks, just when you have time

Wow...you have been busy. Nice to see the new setup working so well. So is the DIY motion platform running with Sim Commander at all, or is it with DIY software tools,  like x-sim, etc?  I guess you could just get it all to work together, and still have SC run Accu Force Wheel, SimVibe, and your GS4 seat separately.    You must have one hell of a startup procedure now!   So you went with a seat separate from your wheel and pedals? Is that a better overall setup, or was it just easier to get it to work that way in order to not have extra weight to deal with?  If I went that route someday with my current sim pit, I would probably have to do it that way!

the main problem i see is the serring wheel doesnt move forwards or backwards with the seat.in a real car the seat doesnt move independant of thew wheel or vice versa
