For of people buying Silver, its asset value is always in the currency they buy and sell silver in. So silver value for the vast majority of buyers is Inexorably tied to the value of a fiat currency, that's just how these things work. 👍 Silver itself is not a medium exchange (NOT money) except for extremely limited or rare situations which almost no one is normally exposed to.

In USA silver is still $20 under it's all time high. I wish it would go up so I could sell a lot. Then wait for the next crash to buy again. Some US states have laws that gold and silver are money. We can pay our tax with precious metals. I have enough to pay the tax on my home for the rest of my life and probably for most of my childrens lives too. As long as we can keep paying the taxes, we'll never be homeless.

I don't care too much about the monetary value in this country because it's guaranteed to go up because of the supposed 2% fed. yearly inflation target. It's the value that silver will have in a hyperinflationary society that I am more concerned about. Take Venezuela as an example. You can have wheelbarrows full of cash that will buy one cup of coffee or possibly one silver dime that can buy 10 cups of coffee.
