How to Get Voice Chat on Roblox 2025 – WITHOUT ID

In this tutorial I show you how to get voice chat on Roblox. To get voice chat in Roblox without ID you will need to add your phone number to your account. Doing so will give you access to the voice chat feature and all the related settings. You can add your phone number to your account using the Account Info settings, either through the app or website.

When adding your phone number you will also need to verify that you own the number. Once you have added your phone number to your account a code will be sent to your phone. You will need to enter the code into the provided box to verify your number.

During the process you may need to verify yourself as the account owner before being able to add your phone number. This is done through an email sent to the email address linked to the account.

Another requirement to get voice chat in Roblox is that your account must be set to 13+. Provided you don’t have parental controls enabled, your account is likely to be set to 13+ already. However, you may also need to ensure your birthday is set accordingly. You can check the age set on your account from the Roblox website.

Once you get voice chat you will need to enable it. You can enable voice chat by going to the Privacy settings, then Communication, and Voice Chat. The privacy settings may be called Privacy and Content Maturity. With the voice chat settings open you will see the option to enable voice chat. You will need to turn this on to enable voice chat. If the setting is already on then you can turn it off and back on to ensure it works.

With voice chat enabled you will get access to relevant settings when in an experience. You may need to adjust these to get voice chat to work. The first is the Input Device setting, which controls what microphone is being used. You will need to select the correct microphone so people can hear you. Ideally, you will want to use a headphone microphone or an external microphone rather than a webcam or laptop microphone.

Additionally, you will need to unmute your microphone to be able to talk. You can do this by clicking the microphone button found in the top left corner. When the microphone has a slash through it your microphone will be muted. Meanwhile, if the microphone has no slash and green on it then your microphone is unmuted and active.

If the voice chat options are missing, then the Roblox experience you’re playing may not support voice chat. However, it’s possible that you may need to sign out and back in to get voice chat to work. Alternatively, you can try uninstalling and reinstalling Roblox.
