“—And I enjoyed catching up with everyone. Hopefully, we could all make plans to do it again soon!”

While the words of Adagio’s colleague played along his ears, Adagio himself was starting to fall asleep. It had been a long day, and he had almost no stamina to keep going.

“—Adagio, are you there?” His colleague inquired, noticing that he started to fall asleep. They were on FaceTime, so they could easily see that he was drowning in slumber. Adagio woke up, startled and exhausted still.

“Yes, I’m listening. Do continue!” Adagio said in an upbeat tone, as if he wasn’t on the brink of falling asleep two seconds ago.

“Oh, aight, ” his colleague said, not noticing the woman passing by in the background. “Well, I was meaning to ask something personal for quite a while now..”

Adagio seemed a little curious, and his lips formed into a questioning pout. He never seems to get ahold of when people are hinting at either asking him out, or hitting on him. Even when he finds it out, he brushes it off, like the golden retriever he is.

“So, you got a boyfriend?~” Asked Adagio’s colleague, winking at him as his Persian red eyes glared into his pale blue ones seductively.

Adagio let out a small chuckle. “Why, you wanna ask me out on a date?” He replied. Sure, he was oblivious, but sometimes the oblivious act didn’t mean he wouldn’t notice the attempts that were thrown at him commonly.

“Maybe, ” his colleague said, glancing to his hand in a teasing way, “do *you* have a *boyfriend*?”

Adagio’s face contorted to a thinking pout, before his eyes glanced to the white-haired woman who had passed by in his room earlier, now wearing some black attire as her white hair billowed in an odd manner. It glistened under the very moonlight. Almost ethereal, the sight was. Not only that, those eyes. Those oceanic, glistening eyes, clashing against her long, full white eyelashes; they were almost irresistible.

“YES!” He said, looking at his girlfriend with a slight smirk. He seemed innocent enough, but that didn’t stop himself from being proud of somehow winning over a hot girl like Julis. It was funny, how he didn’t correct his colleague, but in an odd way… it fit. When Julis is the one who keeps him on a ‘leash’ and makes sure things don’t go wrong, she practically *was* the ‘boyfriend’ in their relationship.

The colleague bore an awkward smile on his face, hearing Adagio’s words echo through his mind and seeing his girlfriend. After letting the rejection sink in, he declined the call without saying another word. Adagio giggled mischievously, while Julis looked at him curiously for a moment, before shrugging.
