Getting a few comments asking why I'm not retiring anymore 🙂 Thanks to Patrons I'm now able to stay doing what I love. Thank you for their support and for allowing me to stay 😀 So glad to be back to offer you videos again.

Is it just me or is Phantom Strider the perfect person to do a ‘Blue’s Clues’ reboot?

"I kinda stink at electrician stuff anyway" made me lose it after looking at his twitter.

0:45: That's just cute having you inside of a... ahem, a Tiger Electronic LCD game-- down to the monochrome LCD design. Love the aesthetic, pal.

Hey, congrats on the comeback, Strider! Can’t wait to see what else you’ve got in store for us! 😁👍

Another thing about Gizmondo. There were actually two versions of the console. One that was the base model at $600 and a cheaper one that had "smart ads" on it. Yeah, ads preloaded on to the system. And we all know how much gamers love ads.

I always loved handheld game systems. I grew up with a Nintendo 3DS and had it for a whole decade. So seeing these strange handheld systems are pretty interesting and fun to see 😂

Josh: "These tiger games were terrible. I'm definitely not projecting AT ALL. ... Kill it with a hammer!!!"

One thing to note about those modern MyArcade parable consoles: Most of these, and others since the during early 1990s to the early/mid 2000s actually mostly run on NES/Famicom hardware-- and most of them are either preloaded with classic NES games (like SMB, Duck Hunt, Balloon Fight, etc.) or original ones they made, either by themselves or homebrew. These are also known as consoles.

Great video as always, also there’s a couple other handheld or maybe also bootleg consoles that should have been listed here including:

- Virtual Boy, if you could even call it a handled was still Nintendo’s worst selling console that gave you headaches and eye strain all in an attempt at simulating virtual reality.

- SouljaGame, a bootleg handheld and later home system made in China with the name of a one-hit wonder rapper slapped on it. It got pulled from stores not long after when Nintendo became aware of it.

- R-Zone, as AVGN quoted it; “This is basically a crappy version of the virtual boy. Yes, I said that, as if the Virtual Boy isn’t already crappy enough.”

- PCP Station, yes that is actually the name of this bootleg console. Basically a cheap LCD game alternative if you didn’t have the money to buy a PlayStation Portable

- Ouya, while not technically a handheld system. It was basically a portable home console created by Kickstarter that just allowed players to play mobile games on the television.

18:31 Huh. And here I thought Digimon added that part themselves. Yeah, fun fact: Digimon started out as basically "Tamagotchi for boys" before becoming the series we know of now.

I remember having the Power Rangers Tiger handheld. It felt more like a toy than an actual video game console.

When I hear the Game Com, I thought of Nathaniel Bandy ranking every Sonic game, and how Sonic Jam on that system was the second worst behind Sonic Free Riders

honestly i think tamagotchi is targeting itself towards the complete wrong audience. im 16 and have a tamagotchi uni, and i love it! its a really nice break from the rest of life to take care of this little cute creature (plus wearing it as a wristwatch makes an insane fashion statement that gets conversations started very quick). i believe in japan they already have pivoted towards marketing it to young adults, and i wish they would start doing it internationally too. love the video, every time im reminded of the n-gage i think about how its design was a joke based on an internet meme. if you look it up, you won’t be able to unsee it but it makes it so much funnier that it actually got produced

also yes i still have to clean its droppings

I actually collect digital keychain pets and they're shockingly popular still. At first I thought it was adults buying up all the Tamagotchi Nanos in my area, but apparently they're popular with kids too.

Probably because Nanos are both cute accessories and because the systems are really easy to take care of(I got a Mimitchi on my first try) and actually have minigame variety compared to the classics.
