Rumor: PS5 Pro in Development For 2023. | PlayStation Acquires Haven Studios. - [LTPS #510]

Well it didn't take very long but Sony has announced another acquisition, this time it's Haven Studios! And they haven't even really done anything yet! When will I get acquired? Who knows, but in the meantime we have firmware updates for PS5 and PS4. We also know VRR is coming, and Polyphony Digital has responded to the Gran Turismo 7 backlash. We also go over a recent PS5 Pro rumor. There's a few more things but I'll save that for the video. As for me? I'm about to go MOUTHFUL mode on this GHOSTWIRE.

A pro just seems unnecessary this time around. I understood for the 4 and Xbox one since they launched with severely weak CPU’s. PS5 and series X offer incredible performance for the price and feel future proof for the next 5 years. Add in the shortages most people won’t be able to get their hands on the systems for the first 3 years of their launch.

ALLM lets your console and TV communicate to auto-switch into and out of the TV's Game Mode for reduced latency and more responsive gameplay. This was included in the latest update as well not being mentioned, so if your tv supports it 👍🏻

I'd love for there to be a PS5 Pro, but I really don't think it's happening. They can barely get out PS5's right now...and GPU pricing is all over the place. Chip shortages are a nightmare

The main problem with Gran Turismo 7 is just how the game expects you to spend money constantly. If you're doing online races in Sport Mode, this is an even bigger issue. 2 out of the 3 daily races allow you to pick any car. And for each one of those 2 races, there are two or three cars that dominate the top times. If you wanna be competitive and you don't own those cars, that's a minimum of 350k to buy just one if it's Gr4, or 450k if its Gr3. Then you add the tires. If a race requires you to enter a car that has Racing Hard and Heavy Wet tires, then it's another 60k... per car. If it's a race that requires you to use each tire compound at least once throughout the race, then it jumps to 100k on tires alone, again, per car. It adds up.

And when the game doesn't offer any legit way to make enough money to keep up without having to dedicate your entire life to it, the community will go out of their way to find a way to break it. Companies should know that by now.

I think the way they reacted with update 1.09 and the letter outlining the more immediate roadmap for the game is a step in the right direction. Let's hope it keeps heading in that direction over the course of the game's life.

I literally just got my PS5 yesterday and now they talking about PS5 Pro and they’re still selling out in seconds/minutes. They should focus on easing demand for this current console, Not release another console that will have the same problem as the OG

I was very happy with response.. played almost 30 hours before the 30 hour shutdown.. then barely grabbed the game.. as soon as i saw the news this am.. played 2 hours off the bat.. its a great game overall, and happy with this response. unfortunately it shouldn't have got this point but glad they willing to listen and act on it.
