So why don't the state goverments that have oil like Texas and Alaska start drilling and stop waiting on the Federal Goverment to say ok?

Go to Nebraska and set up an anaerobic fermentation of corn and fodder for the production of methanol and ethanol.

Fractional distillation separates the 2. Ethanol is money getting made on liquor, methanol is combined with ether (that's ethanol mixed with hydrochloric acid that comes from distilled cow blood, and then this mix of ethanol and hydrochloric acid is distilled, yielding ether) to achieve whatever octane you want,

And that would be a perfect substitute for gasoline, to further remove our dependence on ANYTHING foreign.

America should follow India and indiginize all its products, that means, everything gets built in the USA, from materials that come from within the USA, so there will NEVER be a shortage of ANYTHING, if done correctly.

“Yes, there have been ET visitations. There have been crashed craft. There have been material and bodies recovered. There has been a certain amount of reverse engineering that has allowed some of these craft, or some components, to be duplicated. And there is some group of people that may or may not be associated with government at this point that have this knowledge. They have been attempting to conceal this knowledge. People in high level government have very little, if any, valid information about this. It has been the subject of disinformation in order to deflect attention and create confusion so the truth doesn’t come out. ”

Totally agree, us energy independent and help nato partners come off russian oil and gas. Come on green solutions, electric car infrastructure is not here yet. Once it is here than began a transition off fossil fuels.

Jen Psaki was asked about stopping the 650 barrels we are currently purchasing per day from Russia. She said the repercussions of stopping the oil purchase could be worse driving oil to 150 or even 200/brl. That could result in $8 to $10/gal gasoline overnight basically contributing to hyperinflation so many economists have warned us about. The short-term potential threat of the economic damage contributed by hyperinflation far exceeds any long-term damage of global warming. We cannot overnight phase out petroleum fuel without a painful possibly even catastrophic impact of hyperinflation. Hyperinflation has resulted in the end of many nations including accent Rome. We immediately need to return to energy independence with a long-term slow phase out of petroleum fuels.

Why should we subsidize the oil companies with tax breaks? Surely at $110-$120 a barrel there is enough margin for them to make a tidy profit and recoup capital investment in a reasonable time?

So ignorant, because US type of oil is not the same as russians ( light vs heavy) and refiners need lots of heavy, so russians oil cant be changed for us light, refiners dont work with 100% light oil

When we look back, we will find that the Oil Lobby was instrumental in driving the Administration to take this economically destructive path that has enriched the oil interests globally.

We seem to keep fighting wars over oil and oil policy.
