Nothing is back with their third phone, but this time they've gone full mid-range budget phone. The (2a) might not have as many fancy lights or specs, but with a VERY competitive price and a... "unique" design, Nothing might just have a winner on their hands.

I bought it and had it for almost a week. And I love it. I sold my iPhone 13 pro max, and despite the camera downgrade, I am much happier. Glad to be back in Android, especially with this which feels like a spiritual sequel to old OnePlus.

If I had any reason to give up on my galaxy S10 anytime soon I'd definitely consider it. It's nice to see some cheaper good phones again.
I hope they keep targetting these prices in the future and don't just abbandon it right away like oneplus.

The brithnes slider just has a preview of the brightness after you change it. You can long press the flashlight button in the top pulldown menu to enable the glyph constantly

Turns out 2a improved the software a little bit as this is an early access phone, a lot of things have improved
