My five year old daughter asked me today, "are there women composers?" I was very happy to find this to share with her, she was mesmerized, as was I. so beautiful.

My Music professor introduced me to Florence Price and her work, totally fell in love with her mix of musical mastery and emotion she put into it.

Beautiful to hear the bassoons to. My nearly 9yo is transitioning onto the big bassoon. It’s great for her to listen to pieces where the bassoon sound is showcased.

Movingly beautiful is an understatement. Bravo Chineke! Orchestra. I'm a huge fan of Antonin Dvorak and unsurprising that Florence would have been inspired by Dvorak's 9th in E Minor, just as he in turn was inspired by African American Music. So much so that he proffered that the roots of American Music was not European, but rather African American - which
"must be the real foundation of any serious and original school of composition"
-- Antonin Dvorak

How marvelous and refreshing to hear such a musical source. I recall their first performance in 2015. They seem to have improved with time. Simply delightful.

Is anyone thinking Dvorak, like I am? I mean that as the highest compliment.
