that's gotta be one of the best opening credits for any recent game. VR or not.

"The best of the best, still die like the rest." is just such a good line. AGH I love it!

And as of today, I have been informed that our song has been listened to over 1.5 million times on Go team!

I can't describe the feeling you get when you watch this for the first time in VR.

best line ever

I love animations that only use three colors. They're just so simplistic, and beautiful. Combine that to the soft orchestra of strings, a 60's voice singer, and meaningful lyrics, and you got my money.

Happy to have been a part of the writing of this song, and to be the lead singer on it as well. Here are the full credits of the writers of our lyrics as well as musicians involved on the track, as these are apparently missing from the track listings on spotify and other sites as well. I want to make sure proper credit given where credit is due!:

Man, that's literally the best opening credits song I've ever seen in a game. The game itself is great, but I'd totally pay for a movie based on that song.

0:25 "we fire the shell with the bullet. That means 50% more bullet per bullet"

It's so hard to believe this game is 5 years old. This game and the sequel both feel like they are newer games but are timeless masterpieces at the same time.

Really though, acid proof sharks, how much did *those* cost

it's not often I get to record orchestral percussion for a video game--thanks so much for having me! I loved doing this :)

Ok this is great I imagine a spymovie musical that starts with a spy casually walking through a building while a woman is singing over the intercoms about how she will kill him and as he's walking she keeps deploying traps infrint of him but they keep barely missing as he's walking through the building

After seeing RT play this the other day, I had to revisit one of my favorite openings to a game ever. This video doesn't even do it justice. Watching this in VR is an absolute trip, and one of the greatest experiences I think I've had in VR. Not to mention the rest of the game, which is just so good.

Hats off to you.

Only question I have is why do some people dislike this? The intro is perfect from the song to the visuals heck I love the fact that it's only three colours used. Really helped put everything into perspective plus well...this is pretty much a James Bond parody but still keeping some of the spy seriousness

Lyrics:
You got away again
You must think you're so clever
I promise you, Agent
Can't escape me forever
We're playing a game
You take from me
I take from you
But every game ends
And when this one is through

I expect you to die
(The best of the best still die like the rest)
I expect you to die
I expect you to die
When you finally see
The worst side of me
We'll finally be
Eye to eye
I expect you to die

That voice in you ear
They've no chance to save you
A meer puppeteer
They only enslave you

You're a piece on a board
I bet with my wealth my armies and dreams
Your every success
Unveils to greater schemes

A lake full of acid
A drill from the sky
If you try to fight me
We'll watch your hopes die
Lasers and Sawblades with sharks on standby
You're right where I want you
And this is goodbye

I expect you to die
(The best of the best still die like the rest)
I expect you to die
I expect you to die

When you finally see
the worst side of me
We'll finally be
Eye to eye
I expect you to die
I expect you to die
I expect you to die
I expect you to die

I expect you to die.

The coolest intro I've ever seen. I felt like a real badass secret agent even before the game started. Those optical illusions, color palette and tricky transitions "IN VR" are a piece of art.

I vote for this to be the next James Bond opening.

The greatest entry to a game ever. It took me back to that feeling of excitement before a bond movie. Perfect voice, visual.... I cried as I started the game for the first time, it was so great. Thanks Schell games for something so amazing.

In my opinion, the part where she's going through the agents and saying your just a meer puppet is just one of the best parts of the lyrics. It gives you a second opinion on what you do throughout the missions, just doing the dirty work for larger beings.
