****** About Living Traditions Homestead ******

Living Traditions Homestead is all about living a simple and sustainable way of life. We believe the world has gotten too “busy” and that people are missing out on many of the true blessings this world has to offer. We started as a small urban homestead in Gilbert, AZ and after the city grew up around us, decided it was time leave corporate America and take a big leap of faith by moving our family to the Missouri Ozarks.

We put out 5 new videos every week! Tuesday through Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we transition from city dwellers to full time homesteaders!

You guys are a bad influence. I've done nothing all morning except binge watch your videos. And make coffee. So I can binge watch more. Love your videos though. Been canning for a number of years now, but we just moved onto our homestead last summer and have been enjoying getting it set up to sustain us. Keep 'em coming!

Thank you for ur canning videos! All these years later it's still helping newbies. Our local game warden gave us a deer and we had clue how to butcher it lol. It was comical. I'm a canning nut suddenly.

I really enjoy your videos. I’ve canned venison for 35 years. Down through the years I’ve changed my methods. One thing that I do is with the raw pack method I add a tablespoon of Orington Farms beef bouillon to the bottom of the jar instead of salt. Flavor is phenomenal!!

From Linda: love canning...I did canning of deer meat for the first time last year and loved it. Just added a mixture of seasonings and no water and it made its own delicious broth I give to the dogs when I open one up for a special treat.

I love canning venison, my favorite way to put it up. I liked to add onion to my jars. Canning tenderizes it so well.

I couldn't click on THIS one fast enough. I was surprised on not adding any liquid. Interesting. This old grey beard is seriously looking forward to your canning series. My 941 is gathering dust. Have a Blessed New Year.

Lovely animal! Looks so different from our Northwestern Ontario, (Canada), deer, who often live on old, abandoned homesteads & are, therefore, fat piglets from all the grain eaten, and, really, not so tasty, from all the fat throughout the meat. Ha! Lids probably wouldn’t even seal from all the grease!🤭🙃🙃 but great job, Kevin, providing for your family, and, you, my dear, are a treasure, emotionally supporting your husband & working so hard to secure your family’s future. Wonderful to see a couple work together🥰.
