0:17 A cellphone ?! OK, not interested... The fact that the novel was written at a certain time, in France, with the society of that time, was crucial for many aspects of the book... Not only the way men and women would behave, but also the relationships (NO social networks), the concept of family, how parents would deal with their children, was crucial for many aspects of the book... So "a modern take" does NOT make any sense if you ask me... I think I will read the book again instead, or maybe watch again the amazing Jean Seberg in Preminger's version...
