Katakwi grapples with maternal healthcare challenges

Access to health services in Katakwi District is still a big challenge with some expectant mothers having to travel long distances along poor roads for medical attention. In many cases, they seek the services of traditional birth attendants for antenatal care and delivery. Partners for children worldwide with funding from Child Fund organizes two medical camps every year to help mothers access some of the services. This year the camp was held in Guyaguya primary school where children were vaccinated. A number of adults received their COVID-19 vaccination.
