Hello! I have a 89 Ford F-150 300 i6 manual... and 4th and 5th gear it sputters as you went over. So I now can confirm that it’s a bad fuel pump. So thank you! I’m going to be doing a EFI to 4 barrel Carb conversion for my Highschool senior project, so finding out this problem was essential to moving forward... literally😆.

My fuel pump is bad and the only system is a hard start. Turns over to many times. Getting it replaced this week, dropped it off today.

My Ford Fiesta mk6 has exact same problem. I changed ignition coil and fuel filter. Problem hasn’t gone. No issues with MAP sensor. Now replacing the pump. Hopefully this will help me.
But definitely a good learning experience.

My fuel pump only whines loudly when it's hot outside. Does that sound familiar?

I have a 2003 dodge caravan. And these are the symptoms it was having before it died. I have already changed the map sensor, both o2 sensors the throttle position sensor, and the TCM computer which was expensive. And it has the same problem. It starts hard, runs rough for a few seconds and dies. It does feel like it is starved for fuel. But what is making it so Shakey? The plugs and wires are less than 2 years old. A basic tuneup, plugs wires and air filter is the first thing I tried and that didn't change anything. I can't keep throwing parts at it. The fuel pump is my next project. But if that doesn't get it running, I will have to scrap it.

May be the same issue I have. What do you mean by sputtering. My vehicle sort of shakes almost like the sound of a flat tire when you try to accelerate. Is that what you mean" When I try to accelerate that is when it starts. No code or light on dashboard.

When I drive my car I can’t go over 4000 rpm, even if I step on the gas it’ll accelerate slow then does like a two step at 4000rpm. Should I get an entire new fuel pump with the filter ?

When I have a full tank, my diesel car goes into limp mode when I put my foot down. Once at three quarters it is fine. Fuel pump?

I have 2004 Nissan Sentra. It's starts fine and drives fine, but after about 30 to 40 minutes of drive, the car will stop and it won't start untill it's allowed to cool down for couple of minutes before it starts but it will eventually die again after few minutes time. I checked for over heating or any leakage but everything is fine. It doesn't heat or leak oil. Injectors too are working fine. Can this be the cause of the fuel pump? Please any idea?
