I believe the Buck may just need some oil in the pivot. I look forward to the full review. I'm a Buck fanboy, but have had a couple service issues that needed repair through the Forever Warranty. I think all manufacturers have some quality control issues from time to time. I guess they make it through the final inspection process by oversight. CJ Buck, CEO at Buck provides no questions asked warranty repair or to none. The only knives I have found to be perfect everytime, Brian, is the custom made to order knives. Those knives are expensive, but beautiful and a work of art!

Kershaw knives are another personal favorite brand. Most made in Oregon, near where I live. I have more Kershaws than I care to admit. As you are undoubtedly aware they are of exceptional quality and backed by a superior warranty. I look forward to this full review too!
