People keep saying they prefer the fake series finale to this one. That’s cool and I won’t judge you if you do, but this is what ATHF was. It was random, people were alive the next episode even though they died.

I kinda appreciate the idea that this scene was added to say "no, Frylock and Carl aren't stuck in jail, Shake isn't dead. The team is all hanging out, they're just chilling and watching TV."
Whatever new adventures await the Aqua Teens- or you, dear viewer- they'll always be here, hanging out.

I see a lot of debate between "The Last One Forever and Ever (For Real This Time) (We ****ing Mean It)" and "The Greatest Story Ever Told", on which is to be the superior finale. In my honest opinion, the writers knew this kind of split was expected. Some viewers wanted an epic saga to serve as a finale, while others wanted the Aqua Teens to remain zany and repetitive as always. So I feel like both serve as great conclusions, and you shouldn't worry about one outranking another.

Honestly, I'm glad this is how the show ended, the 3 Aqua Teens and Carl all together in the same room, pretty much spoofing how people react to shows with underwhelming endings. XD
On top of it screwing up the well made, tear jerking (but fake) finale, it pretty much showed that this is really the whole point of the series. The characters end up in bizarre scenarios and more often than not, die. Only to come back, alive and well in the next episode.
