I have been there when I was 9 when it was my first time in Japan and I shat my pants when I went on the elevator I thought it was going to break

Coming from a guy who is scared to death of high places, this was awesome. But I still got a little dizzy even looking at it through a video. Still very beautiful. Would never go up there myself, but I respect those that can.

It is technically the tallest tower in the world, assuming “tower” is as in the traditional sense which would be a spire. Like CN Tower or the Space Needle. But Tokyo Skytree is far from the tallest building. I just saw some comments below, so I thought I’d clear it up.

We slept 1 night next to the skytree, there was a window giving a sight on it. It was so good during night.

I thought the Abraj Al Bait was the tallest tower. Seems like this is by an extra 33 metres (108 feet)
