Apply the setting spray before the powder. That works well too without disturbing the cream base and makes the make up last all day.

One of the factors to consider is if you have mature skin. I have to make sure if I set with powder, it’s a powder that is not drying . Setting spray is nice for mature, dry skin

Hi I am 57 with dry sensitive skin with rosacea. I use Dior Forever Skin Glow foundation and consealer. Powder only dries up the makeup and make it cakey and creasing. I am setting my makeup with Charlotte Tilbury’s setting spray by spraying on a damp makeup sponge and tap it all over the face (exept the eyelids) when the makeup is done. With this technique and products the makeup holds for 10 hours at least, without any creasing.

My eyelids are another story. They are hooded and by that oily. So there I have to set the eyeshadow primer with powder before I do the eye makeup. Otherwise the eyeshadow disappears within an hour.

It’s been a struggle to find methods that work for me, but now it works like a charm. 😊

Actually, I'm using setting powder on my under eyes and when I finish the whole look, I lock it with a spray and it works pretty good on my skin 🙂 but this is a result of watching your tutorials, so bunch of thanks 😘

Thank you once again for the detailed info. I actually use setting spray as my primer, I put my foundation on top and then my setting power. My makeup feels light and comfortable.

This was a great video. I would just use powder for my under eyes and not set the rest of my face. I will start using powder on my face. Thank you. This was very informative!

Until I found your channel I had no idea about setting powder or spray or anything setting lol. Put foundation on and just always thought well foundation isn’t supposed to last forever.

I learned setting powder watching your videos and it's made a huge difference. I forgot it one day after I rearranged my make up and noticed it when I got to work. I still use the setting spray on my eyes to help hold those powders in place. Really good experiment! Glad to see it!

I use both!! I think you used to much setting spray.. On the setting spray side thats why it was more transfer.

I love the Charlotte tilbury setting spray. I use approx 6-8 sprays for my whole face! I do use CT powder first.

I use both and my makeup stays for 10+ hours. Also I love you girl but you sprayed SO much on half your face. I use that much for my whole face.

I use both, but always use setting powder. I have so many good ones!!! Why wouldn't you use powder? I have mature sometimes dehydrated skin and it looks stunning!! It makes it all look airbrushed. Then go in with setting sprays. I also use primer sometimes too. I wear oxygen 24/7 so I need to keep my makeup on! I've learned so much from you Nina! Thank you for everything!! Another amazing video!! Love you Nina!!!❤❤❤

Interesting. I don't use a setting powder cause I'm worried that it will show my wrinkles and make my face look dry even after applying a little bit and dusting it off.

Yay! This is very informative. How do I know when the foundation is dry enough to use setting powder? I use Armani luminous silk. Thank you!
