Learn about STM32MP1 main components and its ecosystem
After a brief overview of the high-performance STM32MP1 microprocessor, together we will develop simple example embedded software solutions taking advantage of the customizable boot chain and kernel pin multiplexing. Developers will have hands-on training working with the Cortex-M4 and Cortex®-A7 (Linux) cores and get an overview of the PCB design principles.
Who should attend this course?
• Engineers already familiar with embedded Linux development
• Engineers interested in STM32MP1 line and its ecosystem

Much of the STM32MP1 workshop is heavily outdated now that it has moved to FIP.. Specially this part.. If you want to update the boot code for an STM32MP1 board that ST did not make (from another vendor) without extremely strong support, you may get into deep trouble. This is the problem with (ARM) embedded devices and Linux. Vendor build a board, dump it on the market and then no support because the company is gone or lack of resources because the next great ARM MPU already came out.. Even thus the great 10 years (hardware) support ST provided, does not help in that case as you find yourself in software limbo and probably unsecure outdated kernels, so the hardware goes into the dumpster. great ECO system but not ECOlogical wise. The same happens with mobile., it an extensive trash generating platform . The total opposite can be said of Intel Server/Desktop Linux that runs great on very old hardware. (Running Ubuntu 23.04 on a 2008 PC, try that with ARM !)
