I didn’t realize it at first but I realized it like a day later, that Blaney’s crash was disturbingly similar to the crash that took Dale from us, nevermind it was in almost the exact same location.

If not for Dale Earnhardt's death and NASCAR improving safety Ryan Blaney owes his life to Adam Petty, Kenny Irwin, and the others that gave their lives for others to survive wrecks like that...imo

Preece covered ALL the adjectives in this one incident.
Flip, roll, roll over, barrel roll, pirouette, endo, side over side, and my fave - sidewinder (Thanks Ken!)

I watched Davey Allison flips at Pocono, and Rusty Wallace flips too. At that time, I thought both of them were dead.

The Ultimate takeaway from this conversation is Denny knows ALOT about Tupperware...

That wreck reminded me of Talladega nights. The ridiculousness of the movie flips came to life with that. It was almost bouncing like a ball.

Edit: I made this comment before Denny mentioned it around 9:35

I was far more concerned with Blaney's crash than with Preece's. Flips look spectacular, and to a degree it tricks us into thinking it's worse than head on collisions because they look so mundane.

The only Wreck I feel like can hold a Candle to how Violent Ryan’s flip was is the 1984 Ricky Rudd Flip during the Busch Clash

From every angle that i saw about the Wreck at the end of Stage 2, Gibbs was already loose going into the corner and wiggled and got out of the gas, Cbell just barely tapped him before he got out of the gas and i honestly think the change in air when Bell started to back off is what actually sent Gibbs around.

This was 100% the first time I’ve ever thought “gymnastics” while watching a stock car barrel roll. Twists and rotations looked cray

Love the raw responses from Denny. It refreshing to have such an insight from someone that was in the race like that.

Love that Mavis car Denny! One of my all time favorite schemes for the #11. Just gorgeous

Both Ryan's have taken 2 ridiculous hits this year. Really worried their careers are gonna be cut short if they hit too many times like this in the crappy next-gen car

Ditto, Olympic Gymnastics is exactly what I thought from some of da great slowmos.
🤸‍♂Diagonally at full speed, kick out a 1/2 back handstand, accelerating your momentum to a single sault,
exploding up a skyhigh Pentasault with a half twist, into a double with a full twist,
completing the routine with a double sault & sticking da landing!🤸‍♂🥇

There could be a new ride called the Preece where they lift you and just keep spinning. Everyone would be puking. Do drivers in those kind of wrecks ever throw up?

Like Elliott Sadler's flip....every time he landed it was perfect.

I know this sounds bad. and while I don't really like Preece, You don't want to see someone get hurt. But that wreck and the wreck in Stage 2 are the reason we love Daytona and Talladega. It was such a good race. We got to see a little bit of everything. Even strategy as hard as that is to believe.

Must have never seen Davey's roll at Pocano.

Releived both Blaney and Preece were able to walk away and wake up the next day to see their families.

I counted several rotations in the air and it was incredible. Lucky to be alive
