Thank you for not making this video the length of a movie and wasting my time.

This video was a game changer. Removed everything from the fridge and set for defrost. Less than an hour later (while I cleaned my kind of dirty fridge) timer stopped and when the cooling started the fan noise was completely gone . Awesome and thank you!

Thank you!!! I obtained the service manual for this fridge and have a different button sequence to force a defrost. Thank goodness you have the same model fridge I do.

This video is awesome. After only two defrost cycles the noise disappeared. This fix is much easier for than removing the cover inside the refrigerator compartment as suggested by other videos.

Best video out there. Every other one was saying to press Freezer and Fridge. They don't know what they're talking about! You're the best!!!

Note that Fd is for Freezer defrost. rd is for refrigerator Defrost. FF is for Force Freeze(this will force both compressor to activate). OF is to force both compressor OFF. Same can happen with the fridge. If you ear a grinding noise in you fridge, rd will defrost the fridge.

Force Defrost, indicated as “Fd” on the seven segment displays, activates the ice maker's heater loop as well. In fact, depending on the model you are working on, Force Defrost will also activate other electric heaters in the appliance.

July 1, 2023, 6:30pm ---- I left in on FD for 30 mins, until the very last beeping sound. Now I heard that you should leave it on FD for only 10-20 mins. Was trying to get the ice maker working again. I thought that was okay. I still have no ice running. I'm hoping I didn't overheat the internal electronic in the ice maker. Is it bad I left it on FD for more than 10 mins? If so, what should I do?

The names on the buttons may be different. Its always the top on the left column and middle on the right column. At least for my RF24FSEDBSR

Thanks for the video. Every 3 months I've been transporting all food to my garage fridge and unplugging overnight.

Thanks! After I did 3 times of deforest all the ice finally cleared. After the deforest how long the fridge should produce the ice?
